Electrical Estimator

Are you driven? keen to learn? Looking for a career change? Due to our expanding business Envirotech Building Services Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our team.

This position would suit a recent graduate or someone who is looking for a change career, with the desire to develop a successful career as an Electrical Estimator. Training opportunities will be provided to assist the growth and development of the right candidate.

Job role:

Working alongside our experienced estimators the successful candidate will be producing quotations for commercial electrical services across a variety of projects. Typically, this will involve:

  •       Reviewing tender specifications and drawings to understand the scope of the project.
  •       Site visits.
  •       Completing take offs of materials
  •       Obtaining quotations for materials and specialist subcontractors alongside our procurement team
  •       Carrying out an analysis of quotations to ensure the materials, equipment or specialist is compliant with the tender information.
  •       Data entry into our estimating software.
  •       Working alongside our mechanical estimators to ensure fully compliant bids.
  •       Tender review meetings with bid managers.
  •       Produce Tender letters and summaries to suit the requirements of the tender submission.
  •       Meeting clients and post tender interviews.
  •       Liaise with the projects team at project hand over and assist with variation pricing through the projects.

The ideal candidate will be:

  •       Educated to a degree level in electrical systems or have experience with a solid electrical services background.
  •       Eligible to work in the UK.
  •       Confident in using IT; full training will be provided on our computer systems.
  •       Driven and wanting to learn.
  •       Looking to create a career as an Electrical Estimator.

We are ideally looking for someone with an electrical background, this can be from an apprenticeship, NVQ or through a university education in electrical services, although other forms of training would be considered if appropriate for the job role.

We appreciate that not every candidate will have experience of the job role outlined above, so we are offering full training in electrical estimating and will provide accredited training courses to develop the successful candidate into an electrical estimator and key member of our team.

It is not essential for you to come from a building services background, although this would be an advantage.

Salary and benefit package will be negotiable in line with qualifications and experience.
